January 2021, we both swiped right!

Conversation started by chatting about a photo that Randy had in his dating profile of Joseph's Spaghetti Shed, a restaurant up in the White Mountain area. Rachel used to live up that way in her young 20s and had eaten there once. Ironically, a fact that was perplexing yet endearing and humorous to her when she inquired why he had chosen that as one of his photos, he stated he had actually never been.

That intrigue lead to more conversation, the exchange of phone numbers, and planning a first date within a week. Their child-like spirits lead to choosing to goof around at a playground after hours, even though it was January and there was snow on the ground. He supplied the nips and she supplied the mixers/chasers. Despite nearly permanently injuring their middle-aged bodies after flying down the massive metal death slides (but seriously, how are these legal for kids!?) on reusable shopping bags and only being able to successfully hang on the first monkey bar, they and their pride survived to continue planning more dates. Perhaps while they were recovering in a safer playground structure, there was some redemption when they shared with each other recordings of original songs they had each written.

On January 27th of 2021, Randy asked "so do you want to like make this a thing?" to which Rachel replied she did through a chuckle. They've been best friends and having fun ever since! <333
